asjkdhjaskdhasjhdsjh MY FAVORITE! It’s weird this showed up on my dash today, because a few days ago I started reading a book I purchased (but never read) in Inverness two years ago during my post-exams Highland excursion. This was the first time I opened the book since the trip. As I opened the book, several things fell out, including a British Heart Foundation bookmark, a voucher for 4 pounds off a bottle of Ben Nevis scotch, and, most strangely, a flat tangle of orange hair. I was like WTF but kept the hair on my desk because, well… it was fucking weird. I mentioned it to my boyfriend today and he reminded me it came from one of the Coos we met while in Fort William (I’d taken it off of the fence that was surrounding them). While I’d remembered the Coos (obviously), I HAD COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN THAT I TOOK SOME HAIR AS A MEMENTO. I’m so happy I didn’t throw it away!
Thank you, online streaming, for allowing me to see the fabulousity that is Eurovision from my desk chair in America. The last time I saw it was back in 2010, during my semester abroad in Scotland. Hung out with a bunch of English/Scotsmen and played the drinking game. Wonderful times. :-D

Walter Scott monument in Edinburgh? If so, yay! I loved walking up this thing! Tiniest staircase ever.

The Glenfinnan Viaduct seen in the Harry Potter movies
Ugh one of my biggest regrets is not going on the steam train (which rides on this) when I was in Fort William.
My ears perked up when they made a “bigger on the inside” joke while introducing the story on CBC Radio’s As It Happens. Edinburgh is selling 22 TARDISes!
For all the doctor who fans out there!
Castle Stalker, Scotland (by Etienn281)
Fun fact: This was one of two castles used in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This was the one shown at the end of the movie. The other, Doune Castle (which I’ve visited), was used for all other interior/exterior castle shots.
This just too fantastic.

Doune Castle! I’ve been here! I’VE STOOD AT THIS WINDOW AND SAID THESE LINES.
